Member Q&A

This week’s ThriveEDIT member Q&A spotlights Advisiom Global M&A, a Gibraltar-founded, AI-enabled network connecting independent boutique M&A advisory firms across borders. It is a business with a truly international remit, but one that remains rooted in Gibraltar, bringing investment bankers from Australia, Singapore, the USA and Europe together through its first Deal Summit hosted in Gibraltar very recently.

This week’s ThriveEDIT member Q&A spotlights Gin on the Rock Ltd, trading as Spirit of the Rock, a micro distillery based in the heart of Gibraltar’s old town, producing world-class spirits and hosting the Gibraltar Gin Experience. If you’ve launched something new, original or impactful in Gibraltar, now’s your chance to put it in the spotlight. The GFSB and Gibtelecom are inviting entries for the 2025 Business Innovation Award, a prize that celebrates first-to-Gibraltar ideas and the people behind them. To inspire this year’s hopefuls, we caught up with last year’s winner, Lili Olivero, founder of Green Wave and the Eco Loyalty Rewards Programme, to talk about the experience and what winning meant for her and her business.

One feature does remain though - two of the station’s original police cells… I caught up with Paul Sharpley, the Curator of Artspace, to find out more.

As a relative newcomer to Gibraltar’s hair and beauty scene, The Collective has made quite an impact. Formally ‘House of Blanco’, its contemporary, muted aesthetic brings London-level coolness to Engineer Lane and its team of professionals have made it an instant favourite among its clients. We met its owner, Keiron Revagliatte to find out more about the business.

‘El Kasbah’, situated on Castle steps, opened its doors last week. Its owner, Lauren Linares, is hoping to create a unique space that serves much more than fabulous food and drink. Her concept takes inspiration from the much-missed ‘The Kasbar’ to once again become a place where cultures come together and the community can share their creativity and talents. We met Lauren to find out more about it.
