Congratulations to OTWO on winning this year's Gibtelecom Business Innovation Awards! We'll be featuring an interview with Vanessa Byrne and her team very soon, in the meantime, here are some photos from the event which took place at our HQ's Gibtelecom Conference Hall.
Neurodiversity in Focus
This week’s GFSB Health & Wellbeing session explored neurodiversity in the workplace, bringing practical advice and lived experience into sharp focus. Held at the Gibtelecom Conference Hall and supported by Infinity Group, the event featured presentations from Claire Francis and Nicole Buckley, who encouraged businesses to think differently about difference.
Promoting Ourselves Confidently
Tuesday morning saw the GFSB’s Women in Enterprise (WIE) group host another bi-monthly breakfast meeting, this time focusing on the theme “Promoting Ourselves With Confidence.” Held at ISOLAS LLP and chaired by WIE Committee Member MJ Feeke, the session drew a strong and engaged crowd. The panel featured Business Minister Gemma Arias-Vasquez, GP Reena Verdi, Nicole Buckley from PossAbilities, and, for the first time, a male participant; Senior Partner at ISOLAS and former Minister for Finance, Albert Isola CBE.
Smoke-Free Future?
The Government has published a draft Bill that could reshape how nicotine and tobacco products are sold locally. The proposed Smoke-Free Generation, Nicotine Products and Single-Use Vapes (Ban) Bill 2025 introduces a range of public health measures, and the GFSB wants your views, especially if you operate in retail, wholesale or vending.
The Gibraltar Sustainable Awards are back and the GFSB is once again partnering with The Nautilus Project to help shine a light on the businesses, clubs and organisations making greener choices.
Employment Law Alignment
The Gibraltar Government has introduced a new Employment (Amendment) Act 2025, confirming that key worker protections will apply during the transfer of services between companies, commonly known as TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) in the UK.
