As a relative newcomer to Gibraltar’s hair and beauty scene, ‘The Collective’ has made quite an impact. Formally ‘House of Blanco’, its contemporary, instagrammable, muted aesthetic brings London-level coolness to Gibraltar’s Engineer Lane and its team of professionals have made it an instant hit among its clients and followers. We met its owner, Keiron Revagliatte to find out more about the business.
What’s the concept behind The Collective?
The Collective’s concept revolves around creating a space that prioritises the client’s experience, emphasising a welcoming and professional environment. The salon’s mission is to consistently deliver exceptional results, whether through a simple haircut or more complex beauty treatments. This dedication to quality and client satisfaction has earned us a strong reputation and positive reviews.

Who are the people behind ‘The Collective’?
The team behind The Collective is everything! Made up of a diverse group of skilled professionals, each person brings their own specialism in hair and beauty. I’m the very proud owner, working extremely hard behind the scenes while managing a busy 9-5 job and recently becoming a dad—it’s fair to say I am constantly rushed off my feet. Amy, the ladies’ salon manager, ensures the highest standards of customer service and salon management, and as one of the most talented hair stylists in Gibraltar, she has her hands full. Amelia is a recently qualified stylist and colourist who specialises in innovative colouring techniques. Gabriella is a stylist specialising in hair extensions, enhancing both length and volume. Poppy, a senior hair stylist, is adept in both traditional and modern styles. Chaz, a senior British barber, excels in contemporary men’s haircuts, while Preston, a junior barber, has a growing reputation for excellence. Jaydy is a junior nail technician with a keen eye for detail and creative designs, and Dominika is another talented nail technician known for her precise and artistic work. Ashley, a senior beauty therapist, is renowned for her comprehensive beauty treatments. Jessica, an advanced skin practitioner, focuses on skin health and advanced treatments. Leah, the famous Brow Fixer, is our in-house brow specialist, keeping your brows on fleek. Finally, Emma leads the salon’s aesthetic services as a trained and experienced practitioner recently approved by the GMRB and OFT, ensuring you are in great hands.
What makes you different?
We offer a wide range of services for both men and women, all provided by our skilled team, including experienced hair stylists, barbers, nail technicians, and skin specialists. We focus on giving our clients a personalised experience, making sure they feel welcome and valued. Our salon has a modern, stylish design that stands out from traditional salons. These factors make The Collective unique and a top choice for hair and beauty services in Gibraltar.
You recently moved to bigger premises—how are you finding the extra space?
The additional space (still on Engineer Lane) has been great for us. It’s allowed us to expand our services and improve the overall client experience. We can now accommodate more clients at the same time while still providing personalised care. The larger environment makes everything more comfortable and relaxed, which has really enhanced our clients’ visits.

What kind of services and treatments can clients expect?
We’re a one-stop destination for all beauty and grooming needs. Our women’s hair services include various styles and cuts for both men and women, such as skin fades, tapers, and trims. We also offer specialised hair treatments like Balayage, Foilyage, Ombré, and traditional colouring. Our beauty treatments cover advanced skin treatments and body treatments, including facials, waxing, and Dermalux phototherapy for skin rejuvenation. For nail services, we provide manicures and pedicures, including detailed nail art and care from skilled nail technicians. We’ve also recently introduced aesthetic treatments, which will be showcased soon, led by Emma, our in-house fully qualified nurse who is on the GMRB Board.

The GFSB has conducted a flash survey of its members concerning their experiences during the first two weeks of the new Treaty arrangements.
The Office of Fair Trading's latest Annual Report reveals record numbers of businesses, plans to simplify licensing through a new Business Act and fewer consumer complaints. GFSB's Business Support Manager, Kim Chang, breaks down what the proposed reforms, increased digital services and stronger enforcement could mean for businesses, and why the GFSB's role in shaping policy has been recognised.
What a year it's been! From the Treaty moving from negotiation to reality to AI, workplace pensions, business confidence and everything in between, this year's Thrive EDIT has helped members navigate one of the busiest periods in Gibraltar's recent history. Before we take a short summer break, Editor David Revagliatte looks back at the stories that shaped the year and thanks readers for joining us on the journey.
Could Gibraltar be missing a golden opportunity? GFSB Board Director Brian Ross believes the answer is yes. In this thought-provoking opinion piece, he argues that Gibraltar should consider a residency route for financially self-sufficient individuals, attracting experienced people with the wealth, expertise and international networks to strengthen our economy. Could this be the next step in keeping Gibraltar competitive?
For many SMEs, the success of the business has been built on the expertise, relationships and commitment of its owner. This entrepreneurial approach has been instrumental in the growth of many of Gibraltar's successful businesses. However, as organisations develop, dependence on a single individual can become a strategic risk.
