The Government is hopeful of a boost to Gibraltar’s business community by establishing its own aircraft register, following the passage of a new Civil Aviation Act in Parliament. In Wednesday’s Chronicle, Gabriella Peralta writes that the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, told Parliament the establishment of an aircraft register will provide opportunities for new business development and employment and provide a “platform for an aggressive marketing campaign throughout the aviation world”.
