Women in Enterprise Launches 2025–26 Events Calendar
A new series of empowering events for women in Gibraltar’s business community
The GFSB’s Women in Enterprise (WIE) group has announced its new calendar of events for 2025–26, offering a bold and practical programme aimed at supporting women across all sectors of Gibraltar’s business community.
Delivered in partnership with Isolas LLP, the six-part series includes a mix of professional development workshops and community gatherings, all designed to hold space for women in business and leadership.
From managing energy and time without burnout, to building resilience and navigating difficult conversations, the line-up reflects WIE’s ongoing mission: to champion equality, reduce bias, and create inclusive spaces for every woman in the world of work.
A network with deep roots and a modern mission
Originally founded in the 1990s by Lydia Darham and Dr Diane Sloma, Women in Enterprise (formerly Women in Business) has evolved alongside the business landscape it serves. In 2019, the network joined forces with the GFSB to strengthen its reach and impact. Today, it remains a vibrant part of the Federation, committed to supporting women at every stage of their business journey.
WIE welcomes women from all industries, backgrounds and experiences. The network recognises that gender is not binary and embraces the power of difference and diversity. Its sessions create a safe, honest, and respectful space to share and learn.

Freight Delays Bite
Imports including medicines, fresh produce and other commercial goods faced significant delays as businesses and Customs adjusted to the Treaty’s new frontier procedures, with some freight reportedly held since the arrangements began on 15 July. The disruption is the clearest early warning that documentation errors and unfamiliar processes can quickly affect stock availability, perishable goods and operating costs across Gibraltar’s retail and wholesale sectors.

What a Week!
Over the past two years, I must have written more words about the Treaty than almost any other subject. Through the Thrive EDIT, I've tried to cut through the politics and focus on what really matters to Gibraltar's business community. We've unpacked customs guidance, explained residency proposals, questioned support measures, covered Government announcements, highlighted members' concerns and, where necessary, asked awkward questions on your behalf. The aim has always been the same: to make one of the biggest economic changes in Gibraltar's history feel just a little easier to understand.

Since September 2025, we've delivered 34 events attended by 1,329 members and guests, with the vast majority offered free of charge as part of GFSB membership.
