Press Release: GFSB BRAND REVEAL, THRIVE MAGAZINE LAUNCH, NEW WEBSITE

The GFSB has revealed its new brand identity at a launch party 18 January 2024 at the Eliott Hotel.

The GFSB was formed in 1996 nearly 30 years ago. Over the years, and under the stewardship of a many chairpersons and board members it has grown to become one of the most respected business organisations in Gibraltar.

From the outset the GFSB has been about innovating and delivering for business in Gibraltar. With this brand relaunch we are refreshing and resetting how the GFSB is perceived, how we communicate with our members and the general public. It’s also about continuing to build an organisation that helps members start, grow and thrive.

Start Grow Thrive become not just our brand pillars but a new GFSB mission statement that will inform who we are and how we operate as we continue to be the Building Blocks for small business in Gibraltar.

This brand reveal, magazine launch and new website are the first step in the next phase of the GFSB.

We aren’t just giving the GFS be a new look and feel with fundamentally changing how we operate and what we deliver as we move towards becoming a member driven, professionally run and truly Federated business organisation

The new brand is the culmination of months of work by the GFSB board and with three Gibraltar based Companies;

Gibraltar based Creative Rockstar Agency have been responsible for the overall rebranding project. S Stuart Whitwell commented;

“”Its all change at the GFSB, so Creative Rock Stars was tasked with redesigning the brand for 2024 and beyond. We needed to reflect the new core values, ambitions and attributes of the new organisation and provide a fresh modern, relevant twist to the look and feel of the brand, its website and the new Thrive magazine. It has been one tremendous challenge, and we feel that the new look takes a classic design style and gives it that modern twist, in other words we have adapted something that feels timeless, we’ve made it relevant for today and have evolved it for the future. With the concept of the ‘Building blocks of business’ at its core, the new brand used grids, blocks, icons, shapes in a bold manner reflecting those very fundamental business services that the GFSB provide to many local businesses to help them start, grow and thrive.”

David Revagliatte editor-in-chief of new GFSB Magazine Thrive, and also of Gibraltar communications company Motion commented;

“As Thrive’s Editor and as a business owner myself, my aim was clear: To create something that inspired readers and offered practical knowledge on how to run their businesses better.

The GFSB membership is diverse and vibrant – it was super important to all of us involved that its magazine reflected that energy through what it said and how it looked.

All contributors are experts in their respective fields, so readers can expect credible, current perspectives on doing business in Gibraltar.

Ultimately, Thrive is a platform through which GFSB members can share their stories, experiences and engage with the community.

It’s an honour to lead this project as it paves the way for some exciting new developments at the GFSB – watch this space!

Vincent Carrie of Purple Media who are responsible of the new GFSB website commented;

“We have created a modern, sleek and professional website that embodies the new GFSB brand.

The redesigned and relaunched website will also help deliver the core goals of the GFSB –

– fostering a sense of community
– delivering practical training and information
– providing a portal for networking and member interaction

It’s been an honour for Purple Media to work with stakeholders and other providers to deliver this website”
