Optimising Sleep Event

Last week, as part of Sleep Awareness Month, the GFSB hosted its latest Health and Wellbeing session, bringing members together to explore one of the most overlooked drivers of performance: sleep. The workshop, Optimising Sleep for Health and Workplace Performance, offered practical, evidence-based insights into how sleep impacts energy, focus and long-term wellbeing.

Led by Sleep and Longevity Specialist Eva Guerini and Registered Nutritional Therapist Mary Jane Feeke, the session unpacked how factors such as stress, nutrition, light exposure and technology influence sleep quality. Attendees left with simple, actionable strategies they can apply immediately to improve rest and perform better both at work and in daily life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our sponsors, the Infinity Group, for their continued support of the GFSB Wellness Series, including providing nibbles on the evening. This session is part of an ongoing programme designed to support members in building healthier, more sustainable ways of working.

Could Gibraltar be missing a golden opportunity? GFSB Board Director Brian Ross believes the answer is yes. In this thought-provoking opinion piece, he argues that Gibraltar should consider a residency route for financially self-sufficient individuals, attracting experienced people with the wealth, expertise and international networks to strengthen our economy. Could this be the next step in keeping Gibraltar competitive?

For many SMEs, the success of the business has been built on the expertise, relationships and commitment of its owner. This entrepreneurial approach has been instrumental in the growth of many of Gibraltar's successful businesses. However, as organisations develop, dependence on a single individual can become a strategic risk.
