New Business Conference

The Gibraltar Government has confirmed that the inaugural Gibraltar Business Conference will take place in London on Tuesday 21 October 2025, forming part of Gibraltar Day in London week.

Why it matters:
The event represents a shift toward a more business-focused format, providing a platform to promote Gibraltar as a place to do business, invest and relocate. The organisers hope it will also offer a new opportunity to explain the potential implications of the proposed UK–EU Treaty to a wider professional audience.

What to expect:
Held at the Southbank’s Oxo Tower from 5pm, the conference will be fully sponsored, with support drawn from a range of industry sectors.

The programme includes:

  • Sessions on Technology, Lifestyle, Tax, and the UK–EU Treaty
  • Networking opportunities for Gibraltar-based and UK-based professionals
  • A fireside chat on the Treaty featuring:
    • Chief Minister Fabian Picardo KC MP
    • Attorney General Michael Llamas CMG KC
    • Moderated by Peter Montegriffo KC

The discussion is expected to provide insights into how the Treaty could shape Gibraltar’s future relationship with the EU, particularly for businesses operating cross-border.

From the organisers:
Minister for Business, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez, said:

“From the moment I took on the Business portfolio, I was keen to set up an event like this in London to showcase Gibraltar as a destination for business. Gibraltar Day in London week offered the perfect moment to launch it, when our ties with the UK are already in the spotlight and when we can maximise visibility.”

Chief Minister Fabian Picardo KC MP added:

“This new business conference will add real depth to Gibraltar Day in London week. It provides the perfect platform not only to promote Gibraltar as a jurisdiction of choice for business and professional relocation, but also to explain directly to an influential audience the opportunities that the UK–EU Treaty creates.”

Who it’s for:
Attendance is by invitation and open to Gibraltarian professionals in London, UK-based business contacts, and representatives of Gibraltar’s business community.
