Launched: Refreshed HQ
The GFSB officially launched its refurbished premises last night, unveiling a refreshed space designed to better serve Gibraltar’s business community. Held at our 122 Irish Town HQ, the event brought together members, GFSB Board Members and government officials to celebrate the upgrades and new strategic partnerships that helped make them possible.
A space for business
The refurbishment—aesthetic but impactful—features newly painted feature walls, wood panels, and eye-catching decals, enhancing the working environment. In addition to upgraded meeting spaces, there is a smaller, less formal area into which the GFSB envisions recording future episodes of its Gibraltar Business Podcast, reinforcing its commitment to business engagement and conversation.
GFSB Chairperson Owen Smith highlighted the Board’s vision of creating a space not just to meet, but to work. He announced the renaming of key areas:
The justbank Boardroom
The TTMS Meeting Rooms
The Gibtelecom Conference Hall
These updates reflect the three-year strategic partnerships with Gibtelecom, justbank, and TTMS, supporting the GFSB’s mission to provide a central hub where members can meet, connect, and thrive.
Official Recognition
Among the guests were His Excellency the Governor of Gibraltar, Minister for Trade Nigel Feetham, and Minister for Business Gemma Arias Vasquez—a former GFSB Chair. Minister Feetham commended the GFSB’s Youth Membership Scheme, reinforcing his department’s commitment to nurturing young entrepreneurs. Minister Arias praised the organisation’s role in fostering business growth and emphasised her focus on ensuring a level playing field at the border.
Looking ahead
The launch marks a new chapter for the GFSB, with its upgraded space now fully operational for members. As the organisation continues supporting local businesses, these enhancements—alongside the backing of its strategic partners—promise a stronger, more connected business community.
