BHX GIB RTN

easyJet has announced a year-round route from Birmingham to Gibraltar starting June 2025. Flights will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, with fares starting at £26.99. The route adds to easyJet’s existing connections to Gibraltar from Bristol, Gatwick, and Manchester.

Why does this matter?
This expansion strengthens Gibraltar’s connectivity with the UK, catering to both tourists and locals. The Birmingham route returns after years, offering more access for Midlands travellers and boosting Gibraltar’s tourism appeal. Btw did you know that Birmingham is the birthplace of the Balti, a type of curry whose name directly translates to ‘bucket’?

What they’re saying

  • Ali Gayward, easyJet UK Manager: “Gibraltar joins our Birmingham network, providing Midlands travellers with a unique year-round connection.”
  • Minister Christian Santos: “This new route reflects easyJet’s commitment to Gibraltar and benefits both visitors and the local community.”

What’s next?
Tickets are available now on easyJet.com and flights start next summer.
