In a tribute to all the Governors of Gibraltar, the current Governor, Sir David Steel, has unveiled a limited edition gin: The Governor’s Gin. Coincidentally located on George’s Lane—named after the first Governor, Prince George of Hesse-Darmstadt—the distillery has released only 500 hand-engraved, numbered bottles of this special blend.
Each bottle has a certificate that grants the owner exclusive membership to the 500 Club. The first bottle, auctioned at the GBC’s Open Day, fetched an impressive £300, marking both a promising investment for the winning bidder and a generous contribution to the local community.
This collectable gin is priced at £79 and available exclusively at the distillery on 8 George’s Lane, online, and at Gibraltar Airport’s departure shop.
