Can you provide an overview of your professional background including key positions?
I began my banking career in 1996 at Barclays Gibraltar, where I remained for approximately 17 years. With a background in Information Technology, I played a key role in launching one of Gibraltar’s first online banking platforms. I later transitioned into Corporate Relationship Management, overseeing sectors such as tobacco wholesaling, shipping and marine services, and construction.
In 2013, I joined Jyske Bank as part of a three-member team tasked with transforming the institution from a primarily Private Banking model into a full-service Retail Bank. I contributed to the expansion of the business banking portfolio at Jyske Bank and, subsequently, Trusted Novus Bank. In 2021, I joined the Corporate Banking Team at the Gibraltar International Bank and in 2022, I joined the founding team of justbank.
In this role, and as part of a dedicated team of experienced professionals, we are launching a wholly local and independent retail bank, with an initial focus on serving Gibraltar’s Business Banking community. Over the past three years, our efforts have been centred on building a bank committed to excellence, client-centric service, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. I see this position as the culmination of my extensive career in local banking—drawing on decades of industry knowledge and diverse sector exposure.
Joining the GFSB Board represents an opportunity for me to give back to many of my clients and marks an important step in my ongoing journey to actively contribute to Gibraltar’s dynamic and entrepreneurial community.
What are some of your personal interests or hobbies outside of work?
I’m a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter, enjoy going for long walks and hikes, spending time with family, and an avid Star Wars and Sci-fi fan.
