Government eService Gov.gi

The Government launched its online platform for Employment eServices yesterday. The system has been live since Tuesday 9th February 2021. During this time a small number of companies have been using the system and providing feedback to the Government. The Government is now making the platform available generally to all companies that require Employment services.

Employment eServices have been designed to be intuitive and easy to use. These services will allow company staff to submit applications online, together with supporting documentation and make online payments if necessary.

A virtual office has been created for the Department of Employment to manage its workload and interact with users. This will make any interaction with the Department of Employment efficient and flexible, whilst enhancing the user experience for businesses and employees in Gibraltar. It will also allow the Department of Employment to move away from manual systems to a digital way of working.

Users will need to register on the new Gov.gi portal (https://www.gov.gi). Users will need to create a corporate profile before they can access the full suite of online application forms. In addition, eServices previously available on the Government website (www.gibraltar.gov.gi) will be available on the Gov.gi portal as from Tuesday.

Online support will be available on the Gov.gi portal. Support agents will be available via Chat during normal working hours and then via a messaging service thereafter.

We recommend that all businesses register on the site as soon as possible.
