Celebrating Gibraltar’s Micro Enterprise Excellence. In a community as dynamic and connected as Gibraltar, some of the most powerful stories of entrepreneurship, resilience and service begin with just one person.
The GFSB Micro Enterprise Awardhonours the micro businesses, sole traders, and one-person enterprises that form the heartbeat of Gibraltar’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. These are the individuals who wear every hat, take every risk, build every relationship and deliver exceptional value through passion, integrity and hard work.
This category shines a spotlight on the quiet achievers and bold visionaries who prove that you don’t need a large team to make a powerful impact. The award is now open to applicants and the closing date is midnight on Sunday 19th April 2026. To enter, complete the application form.
Applicants must be fully paid GFSB Members (one-person enterprises / sole trader). Three (3) applicants will be shortlisted by a GFSB Panel and invited to attend the GibYellow Business Excellence Awards to be held on 1st July 2026 at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel. The public will vote a winner from the 3 shortlisted applicants.

What a year it's been! From the Treaty moving from negotiation to reality to AI, workplace pensions, business confidence and everything in between, this year's Thrive EDIT has helped members navigate one of the busiest periods in Gibraltar's recent history. Before we take a short summer break, Editor David Revagliatte looks back at the stories that shaped the year and thanks readers for joining us on the journey.
Could Gibraltar be missing a golden opportunity? GFSB Board Director Brian Ross believes the answer is yes. In this thought-provoking opinion piece, he argues that Gibraltar should consider a residency route for financially self-sufficient individuals, attracting experienced people with the wealth, expertise and international networks to strengthen our economy. Could this be the next step in keeping Gibraltar competitive?

This entrepreneurial approach has been instrumental in the growth of many of Gibraltar's successful businesses. However, as organisations develop, dependence on a single individual can become a strategic risk.
