GFSB Does AI

We have launched a new AI-powered agent/chatbot on our website which allows members and prospective members to access timely and accurate information about the organisation’s services, membership options and policy work.

The bespoke AI agent was designed and developed in just 48 hours by a local second-year undergraduate Artificial Intelligence student during her summer break. The chatbot is now live at www.gfsb.gi and forms part of the Federation’s wider commitment to exploring new technology and improving the experience of its members.

“Small businesses are constantly adapting to new technology, and we want to lead by example,” said Kim Chang, GFSB’s Business Manager. “The AI agent gives users instant access to helpful information about the GFSB, whether they’re considering joining or just want to learn more about what we do.”

The new tool is part of the GFSB’s broader focus on innovation, aimed at delivering better value for members and supporting the evolving needs of Gibraltar’s business community.

We’re all about sharing our knowledge so watch this space – we’re planning some new AI workshops in the coming weeks.

Could Gibraltar be missing a golden opportunity? GFSB Board Director Brian Ross believes the answer is yes. In this thought-provoking opinion piece, he argues that Gibraltar should consider a residency route for financially self-sufficient individuals, attracting experienced people with the wealth, expertise and international networks to strengthen our economy. Could this be the next step in keeping Gibraltar competitive?

For many SMEs, the success of the business has been built on the expertise, relationships and commitment of its owner.
